How you can monitor your use of time

Every 15 minutes you can log how you spent the last 15 minutes. You may find this depressing

How you can avoid wasting time

Have reciprocal accountability with a friend. You speak by phone each morning and each tells the other what you did yesterday that was meaningful. This creates very interesting positive pressure on each of you. John Gale sees real value in this.

At the end of each day; plan out the next day

Avoid interruptions; check your email only twice a day; shut off your cell and check it twice a day; close (lock?) your office door
